Description

Activation of Energy is a collection of essays by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. It is one of his most diverse books. He touches on topics such as the atomism of spirit (spirit is entrenched in atoms), an essay on "Centration" which is probably his only direct essay concentrating on spirit and matters tendency to "centrate" itself into more unified forms. He talks about the place of technology in a general biology of mankind, and the convergence of the universe. In a very important essay he talks about "two converse forms of spirit," which is essentially a comparison and contrast between Buddhist and Western ideas of spirit and the place evolution plays in validating these ideas of spirit.
